Have you ever had one of those moments when, after watching a film, you consciously reserve judgement until you can discover the general consensus regarding the film’s critical reception? I know I have. I realise that people’s opinions are simply that: opinions, but after watching what turns out to be a pretty average film, I more often than not catch myself thinking, “I must have missed something.”
Until recently the place that I searched for a film’s hidden merit was IMDb. There the public’s views are laid out fairly clearly for me to observe and use in constructing a well-rounded opinion of any particular film. The only problem was, as I have previously mentioned, the majority of people on the Internet are idiots.
